He Zhao

Dr. Zhao received his Doctorate degree in Physics from Boston College in 2020. Since 2021, he worked at Brookhaven National Laboratary as a Postdoctoral Researcher. Dr. Zhao joined the Physics Faculty of FSU in 2024.

I am passionate about discovering and engineering atomic-scale quantum phenomena and exotic properties in quantum materials, including topological and correlated electron systems. My experimental objectives focus on synthesizing thin-film devices using molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) and 2D co-laminated fabrication techniques, as well as characterizing these systems with advanced low-temperature spectroscopic-imaging scanning tunneling microscopy (SI-STM).
