Ph.D., Toronto, 1986
Dr. Capstick received his Ph.D. from the University of Toronto in 1986. He joined the FSU faculty in 1993 after post-doctoral research appointments at Oxford University, Carnegie Mellon University, and at Jefferson Lab, a nuclear physics lab in Virginia.
His research focuses on properties of excited states of baryons like the proton and neutron, and their strong and electromagnetic interactions. His recent work has been designed to complement the baryon physics experimental program at Jefferson Lab.
